Default probably stupid question about wheels

This is probably a stupid question but tomarrow my rims are supposed to be here. I was planning on taking them to be put on at a shop but i figured id ask first. Is it as simple as just unbolting old and bolting up new? I was planning on maybe using an impact wrench. Is that a good idea or do i need to torque them down to a certain measurement? Thanks, Sorry for stupid question Eric

Do it yourself. It`s easy. Don`t put them on with an impact. You may go too tight and not be able to get them off if you get a flat.

+1
Do it yourself and if you are going to use an impact wrench use a torque stick that is the proper spec for a Mustang GT. Over tightening can be as bad as too loose. A friend of mine actually had his wheel fall off cause the lug nuts where too tight.

You can also use a regular torque wrench book says 98ft lb.

They are different length sticks that go on an impact wrench that only allow the impact wrench to tighten to the spec that you choose. Just use a torque wrench though it's easier.

easy to do. make sure the lug nuts go back on with round end toward rotor, some people forget. if you have a key for your lock nut, find it first.

lol then yes you will be fine. just loosen the lugs while the car is on the ground, jack it up, remove old rims, install new ones, tighten lugs as tight as you can, put car back on ground, torque them back down.
