okay im looking into getting some 3.73s or 4.10s for my 2002 mustang gt. Mods as of now are UPR o/r x-pipe and SLP lm1's. i do drive the highway a few times a week but thats not a big deal i really just want to know what gear would work the best for my car.

well if you arent worried about gas mileage go with the 4.10's they will give you what i think you are looking for. but if you plan to go F/I (forced iduction ie supercharger or turbocharger) go with 3.73

I put 4.10's in my 01gt manual trannyand still get 20-22 mpg.I did it last summer and still feel like I'm driving a new car every time I get into it.

Definitely 4.10's if you don't plan on any F/I.

some people dont like the 4.10's cause the rpms are too high on the freeway... 3.90's will reduce the rpms by 200 at any given point except idle. 3.73's about another 200 lower than 3.90's

Adding into this, my 99 just got its second fill up so I could check my mpg and got a hair over 20. Mixed driving, not to hard either. What are people getting with the other gears? I guess there aren't many people getting gears and still driving mild/moderate are there? How about the mainly hwy people?
