Default Motor mounts

I've been having a strong vibration when i accelerate or just at idle. I've done many things to try to fix it but no luck, now I'm thinking it could be my motor mounts. How would I go about checking them to see if they're ok?

Yep my 98 gt had the same prob and it was the motor mounts my local mustang shop says the motor mounts in these cars normally go bad by 60 to 70k depending on how the car was treated.

U-joints? Does the vibration increase as the speed of the car increase?

No, it only vibrates when idling at a light, and a brief vibration when i take off, and also when i decelerate in a high gear. It goes away when im driving at normal speed.

My buddy had the same symptoms with his 94. We tried everything including motor mounts. After putting on a bunch of new parts I looked at his harmonic balancer and noticed the rubber pushing out the back. Put on a new one and the vibration was gone.
