Default Front car bras?

I live in PA and we have our share of bugs in the summer months. I noticed a few tiny chips onmy front bumper. I am considering a car bra for the front. Other than changing the look a little, is there any down sides to a bra? Do they change the paint under the bra? Scratches?

Thanks for any input

Steve

My car had a bra when I bought it last year, and I removed it immediately. It looks bad IMO, but other than that alot of dirt and crap can collect undernearth the bra, unless you remove it every time to wash (would be a pain in the ***).

It does protect well against rock chips though.

I had them on my last two Mustangs. It takes about 30 seconds to remove it for a car wash and it does wonders for protecting against rocks and bugs. The down side to having them is after time, they start to rub paint off the corners of the front bumper.

they will over time rub the paint, the paint will be darker under the bra. i would get 3M's clear hood protectant tape. and bra's are for girls.

The 3m clear protecting tape works good but more then likely your going to get chips on your whole front end. I don't think you going to want to put 3m tape over your whole front end especially if you want to get the front end repainted in the future shops will charge you up the *** to take the tape off. I say just be careful driving(Don't tail gravel trucks or cars driving on fresh pavement and so on) Bras are really ugly, thongs on the other hand are better, but nothing is best.
