Default blower and overheating

yesterday it was like 90 degrees or so. i noticed my car runnin a little funny. after about 10-20 minutes i looked down and the temp gauge is almost in the red. so i shut her off real quick. i pop the hood, and it is freaking hotter than hell under the hood. right now i have the stock hood, i have a cowl hood at home waiting to be painted i think that would aid in letting some of that heat out. any other suggestions besides an intercooler, which is being ordered next month.

Even with just a blower, it shouldn't get that hot. Are you low on coolant? When's the last time you replaced your thermostat? Any debris blocking the radiator?

Sounds like a broken thermostat.

I don't think it has much to do with the blower itself, I've ran mine hard in hotter weather than that!

Glad to hear your intercooler is on the way! Check the t-stat, as well as coolant level. Throw in a bottle or two of Redline Water Wetter / Purple Ice, and ditch the antifreeze since I highly doubt it will freeze for many months in SC.
