Default A few problems with clutches and idle...

First problem... my car idles way to high. At a light the idle is at 2 grand and sometimes 1500.It hangs at 3 grand then drops to 2 and chills between 1500-2000 rpms. Sometimes it will drop to 500rpms and almost stall out.I don't know if I need a retune because of the LTs or not? Could it be the UDPs? I removed the air silencer also.

Second problem... My clutch is really jerky. When cruising in any gear and getting on the gas the car feels like it looses power, then gets it back, then loses it again even though the rpms will be the same. It doesn't do that all the time. I can smell clutch too when I am getting on it. Ican put the car in second or third and cruise through a neighbor hood without giving thecargas and it will move on its own, notsure if that has to dowith the high idle problem or the clutch.I am wondering if the clutch cable adjuster isn't set right causing the clutch to not be fully engaged. Also when we were working on my motor we accidently moved the crank while the car was in gear making a horrible noise. Could that have unseated the clutch?

Third problem and not the most serious... one of the AC lines are sitting on the passanger side long tube causing the rubber to melt and smoke. It smells horrible. Should I bring it back to the shop who installed them and have them make room?

First problem sounds like your maf sensior.
Your second problem does sound like your clutch isnt fully engaged, Because if you drive around and push the clutch in a lil bit and give it gas it sounds like it slippin and you can smell it. Thats what it sounds like urs is doin, soI would check the cable and do any adjusting if needed.
Your third problem I would take it back to the shop and tell them your problem and they should take care of it.

Thanks, I'll get the MAF checked. My car is really pissing me off with one problem after another. I am seriously thinking about getting rid of it or just dealing with it til I'm out of school and replacing the motor.
