99-00s used an 8 bolt and 01-04s used a 6bolt crank. All dohc cobras are supposed to have 8 bolt cranks...Also they use an 11" clutch whereas you use a 10.5".

Yea you will need an 8 bolt flywheel to mate up to it. I believe you will need a 10.5" clutch but you could probably throw an 11" in there and it will fit just fine.

well i just bought a 11in clutch kit so i need to get a rock hard answer about this topic. I'll need a 8 bolt flywheel, but do i need a 10.5 in clutch? What determines the size of the clutch you need?

Room mainly. Im pretty sure you will be fine with the 11" though. You may need new pressure plate bolts though, but they may come with the kit.

Yes, you do need an 8 bolt flywheel....steel or aluminum. Usually you can run either the 10.5 or 11" clutch. You will have to check with the maker of the flywheel to see if it is made to bolt up both sizes. FRPP has a aluminum flywheel that does accept both clutches. Another note........the stock flywheels are taped for metric bolts for the pressure plate. Make sure when purchasing an aftermarket one, to have the proper pressure plate mounting bolts.

I'll have to check my paperwork but I bought an 8 boltBillet SFI approved flywheel that is drilled for both clutches. A side question, are you putting this crank in a 2V block?

Yes, this will be in a 2v block. Why?

The reason I asked is therewill be a crank clearance issue for the center counter-weights if its a Romeo block, but you may know this already. Some retailers state that the crank is a direct fit but it isn't, the center main bulkhead needs to be machined a bit on both sides for the crank to clear it, good luck. Also I remember now that I bought the flywheel from Steeda, 8 bolt, SFI approved and drilled and pinned for both 10 1/2 and 11" clutchs.
