I've run skinnies and welds on the front of several street cars ..and never had any issues,,except.....turn fast in a corner,,big no,no.....its also abit more comforting ride goin down(straight) the road as thebig sidewall 15 tire takes the bumps abit easier than a low profiler.....I liked my 18x10 and low profile tires,,but man they rode like ****z compared to the weld /mt drag setup...
heres a pic from a UMTR event a few weeks back...
Again I drive it to the track and home.......everytime...

Not sure yet...but hopefully I'll get a year or so and maybe 8 to 10 k?I know thats hopin alot but ,,reguardless,,,they work pretty good and I won't go back to reg street tires....even if I got to buy a set every year..after all they are 150 bucks apiece and to me thats really not that bad..

In my sig...but 275/50/15's on the rear....and yes the 16'17'18's drag radials are good deal more....15's are the most common size....hence the lower cost...

No,,,but a big azz pothole can pop any wheel and rim if hit hard enough....and the weld rimsare softer than a standard wheel/rim....so,,,,just keep a lookout and B careful.....
