Not for the kind of power I'm making it isn't. I should be atleast in the 1.8's and in the 1.7's sometimes!

theres two methods...1st is to put it in 5th while sitting still. release the clutch, the car should stall immediately. if not its slipping and
method 2: is to put it in 4th at 20 mph, floor it. if your rpms rise and your speed doesnt then its slipping.

Well I have all the parts to build my rear next to me. I just have to wait till I get back from the beach to put it in.
Whats the best way to tell if your clutch is slipping and how bad could it affect my times?

I was spinning pretty bad at first then I would slip the clutch, catch traction and be gone. I know that most of this is b/c I'm a bad driver and I can't go to the track every weekend but it pisses me off when my friends with equal power are running half a second faster sometimes.

Those lowering springs are killing you. Too stiff and dont allow for weight transfer. You need to work your suspension and swap in a stage 2 clutch.

I'm gonna go with the fox body front springs, what should I use for the rear?

Fox 5.0 springs will be fine. Stockers aren't THAT bad.

Do all x-cal's have a two-step? How does it work?

the manual transmission stangs come standard with 2 rev limiters, the neutral and just your normal limiter, the two step for us is just all in the tune.

as long as you arent moving it will bounce of the neutral rev limiter, if the car is even moving 1mph it goes to your normal rev limiter.

I have four different 2 step tunes 3500, 4k, 4.5k and 5k.
