i wanted to get CAI for my 01 GT, but i've seen people saying it useless and some claiming that it gives power.
i want to know are CAI better than RAI and should i go with ebay CAI's which are about $50 max opposing the brand name CAI that are $170+

The worlds best CAI on an '01 engine will give probably 2 or 3 extra hp you decide if that's work the money.

RAI= RAM AIR INTAKE. The kind that goes into the fenderwell and suppose to get better gains because it get more since it sit lower. I suggest get a K&N filter and take the air silencer and u will see same gains

If you dont want a head ache, I say go a different around rather than go with a JLT RAI. It looks so bad *** but the install is a serious pain in the ***. What I tohught would only take maybe 30 or so minutes, took about 2 1/2 hours. For performance, it doesn't really matter but for looks thats your own opinion. Alot of people find the same results by simply dropping in a k&n filter.

Ram air intakes vs cold airs are better at different RPM's. a short ram intake will give you better low end but a cold air is better top end. Honestly get an Ebay CAI, I got one called darkforce (80 bucks... with a gay name ) it's a fenderwell style and it's just as good as any other one you could pay 200 bucks for in my opinion.

Im saying just replace your stock paperfilter thats in airbox with a k&n and take the air silencer off. Or buy a K&N 9" conical cone filter, for 50 bucks. Looks sick cause it a 9" filter, and then just buy a MAF adapter for 6bucks off ebay and there u have a sick looking cold air with the performance u need with less than like 65

i agree with lighswitch, just take out the silencer and get a K&N filter. way cheaper and you get the same results.
