It helps keep oil out of the intake, its not "ricer." It isn't emissions legal and wont really give any performance gain unless your pcv has been clogging up your intake. You can also get an oil separator. It does make the engine bay look cleaner though.
From experience on this......Forced induction apps (Lightning especially) that FORD put out would suck oil into the intake via the pcv system. I basically by passed the whole system and I am using the "ricer" filters. These filters are keeping the oil out of my intake, blower, intercooler....so bring on the RICE!!!!!! BTW..This is on my Lightning...Bud of mine did this to his 99 Cobra and went back recently to the stock look...I think the Non Forced app will not pul oil into the intake.
I am not running any PCV tubes on the Bucket. I rin the breathers and other than having to clean the filters, it's much better than having oil sucked into the intake.
I am running the filters on my car also. I was getting oil in my intake NA and since I am putting on twin turbos I did not want oil in there. Its not ricer.
I have pics in my old posts, you will have to look for your self because I am out of town for a couble of weeks and only have this military laptop to use and cant look at anything from photobucket.
You have to plug the vacum in the plenum and I bought my filters at Auto Zone for $10 a peice ( had to modify them a bit) No retune required .
