Default 400RWHP

I talked to my tuner today about putting a water/methanol kit on my car, and he said he will do it but he said my car will be pushing it's limits at 400rwhp and it may not last long. is this true? also he said he would want to run straight alcohol instead of the mix. any comments on that?

a pulley swap to turn up the boost would do the same thing. You still have to retune for methanol so a pulley swap would make more sense to me.

400 may be pushing it but I don't think there is a magic number, just as some have had 450+ hp on stock bottom ends and others blew there **** up with only bolt ons.

Do you supercharged guys run knock gauges?? Shouldn't even us N/A guys have one?? The buick GN guys are pushing those v6s into crazy numbers on alky and crazy boost just by making sure knock is always at 0. No knock = more boost =P.

MPH has more than a few cars runnin over the 450rwhp mark and with no problems. youll be fine. i can count more than a few people on this forum with over 400rwhp. just be warned, 450rwhp depending on the tune, is about as high as you wanna go because your pistons and rods have a chance of going boom

400 will be perfectly fine as long as you're not stupid. i ran around the street at 410RWHP for a year with my meth kit. i was at 360RWHP non-cooled for a year before that. 450 is the breaking point. there's no guarentee of course, people have blown their motors with far less, but you don't seem like you totally abuse your car.

Yeah, when I first got my supercharger installedit was as if I had to learn how to drive the car all over again.
Just don't bang up against the rev limiter like I did at first.
It's real easy to do with 373's, I don't know how you guys with blown 410's can handle it.
