how dangerous is it to hit that revlimiter? Does any one know anything about this? has anyone throuwn a rod in a stock 4.6 before?

it should be fine as long as you dont do it often. ive hit redline in mine 3 or 4 times so far, but its not something you want to do alot. usually you dont need to redline the car to get in the beefiest rpm range of power.. usually stops at 5500

Except if you have a centri blower, they keep on making power until you eitherget off the gas or hit the rev limiter [ or blow your engine ].
Hitting the rev limiter on a SC'ed car is a no no, but you already knew that.

??? I've tested mine before, it cuts out right at redline. Which is to say, 5200 RPM.

Eh, it's right around 52-53. I've only tested it once, didn't want to damage the engine.

I have a 2000 gt and mine bounced at 5700. I spun a rod too .. not while red lining it though. randomly on the highway it started....
