New exhaust recommendation?
Hi, I just bought a 96 mustang gt that is all stock. Im pretty new to mustangs and i would like to get mine sounding mean. i'd like it to be pretty loud but as long as i dont stand on it, the cops wont get on me(i got pulled over once for my grand am being too loud in a residential area..haha). i was wondering what i should put on mine? im not going to race it and since its a mustang gt, its as fast as i need it so im not looking for performance as much as sound. thanks

RE: New exhaust recommendation?
BBK long tube, BBK x pipe for long tubes, and SLP loud mouth. I was going to go with the mac cat back but i heard it in person at a Stang bangerz cruise in and it just wasn't raspy enough so i'm now on the SLP train. Here is a web site with all the brands and several sound clips with different combinations http://www.mustangexhaust.com/forums...ps.php?catid=5 you can also try streetfire.net to get some ideas on cat backs...

If you only want it loud when you get on the gas, you want a non baffled muffler like a SLP or a magnaflow.
Here is my car on the dyno, gives you an idea of what it sounds like at wot:

This was with BBK LTs, BBK o/r X, and the magnaflow catback. Its not going to be anywhere near that loud with the stock exhaust but you can kinda get the idea.
