Default exhaust question

I've checked the search and found nothing. I was wondering if there was a step by step post by someone on how to change out the exhaust on a '03 GT.

I just got my x-pipe and my cat-back and want to do it myself. I'm sure I can just start and figure it out, but I was hoping to find a post on it already. Any tips would be appreciated.

you really don't need a step by step. The catback has 4 bolts (2 each side) and 4 hangers (2 each side). Unbolt it, and pull it off the hangers. (may need some lube for the rubers on the hangers). Mid pipe is 4 bolts up bu the manifold (they may be tricky to get to).

K, sweet. From reading most of the posts, looks like i'll need a jointed socket for the midpipe, and a breaker bar. I haven't looked under the car yet, was planning on doing it tomorrow. I was mainly just looking to see if anyone had a certain technique for it. I guess it's pretty simple though huh? Heh. I can't wait to hear the car when it's done.

yeah make sure to get some PB blaster, soak all the bolts and let them sit for a good while. then go at it, you will need extensions and swivel sockets for the header bolts. also get new header gaskets and TRY NOT TO STRIP THE HEADER BOLTS.

oh and post a clip when your done

And having a freind hold that midpipe when your putting it up definately helps!

And also.. If you happen to have a buddy with a lift or you have accest to one it will make it 10x faster! But either way its easy!
