Recently started using A/C around here and I noticed every once in a while the car will hesitate, almost as if fuel was cut off for a split second. Is this normal? Or a sign of something going out? Engine mods: K&N FIPK, IAC rev mod. Thanks.

 

I`m sure thats only happeningwhen the compressor is kicking on. No big deal really.
How is it at a steady speed?

 

It motors right along, just every once in awhile it does a very slight hesitation blip in the throttle. Does the compressor run constantly when the A/C is on? If it does turn on and off during A/C I could see it just being the compressor kicking on too.

 

No, it does cycle on and off. Maybe check your refrigerant charge to make sure it`s ok.

Mine was doing the same thing recently. On the highway at a steady speed, my car would hesitate every 15-20 seconds from the compressor kicking on. Took it to Ford and they replaced the compressor and charged the system. Still did the same thing when I left. Took it back and they changed the cycling switch (took like 10 minutes) and all was fine.

 

I'll keep that in mind if it keeps up. Good info thanks.
