Default Side cowlings

Has anyone ever removed the side intakes in front of the rear wheels? My wife backed into the passenger side and broke it. Thankfully the plastic piece was only damaged. Whats underneath those? Any mods to those that I can buy instead of getting it fixed?

Thanks!

You can replace them with Saleen ones for a better look. I don't know whats under them aside from paint and bolt holes.

There are about 6 holes. 3 of them plug straight in, the other 3 are green clips.

I had a deer run into my car (yes, he ran into the SIDE of my car...dumb deer), and knocked off my scoop. I was able to repair a couple of broke hinges, and buff out the scratches, and it looks like new. I considered the saleen ones, but they were in the $100 + range and figured I'd be better off putting that $$ towards exhaust.
