lowering springs . how will the stock shocks hold up
I wanted to know if it is nessecary to change the stock shocks if im going to lower the car 1 - 1.1/4 ( going to be purchasing steeda in a few weeks) i know any type of lowering will effect the stock shocks and they will eventually blow . but on a 2001 mustang GT how good are the stock ones will they be able to hold for half a year to a year before i replace them with after market or should i just get the whole package i plan on just buying the springs. nothing more no camber plates or nothing like that.

www.50resto.com has a kit that includes the Steeda Springs and KYB shocks and struts for $450. It would be a good idea to go ahead and replace the shocks and struts when you swap springs

my buddy has had stock shocks for like 2 yrs now and he lowered like 2inches..they are fine for now...for better handling and a ride get shocks...but for a tank dont bother right away..
