man, i got beat by a turbo talon, the turbo sounded insane though. That wont be happening with the new engine i hope!

Don't sweat it. Those talon's can be very fast. I barely beat a turbo talon a long time ago....don't know the specs on them, but it was pretty quick.

the turbo is easily upgradeable on those bastards, they can be quick.

I have seen a full exaust/turbo swap AWD talon only run door to door with a all stock SRT-4 (04) I beileve. I might even still have the video someplace. This was of course from a roll.

Well, theres alittle more to the story. I was at a light and needed to get over 2 lanes in order to get on the highway, and didnt see the talon there and I took off kinda fast to get infront of some cars to get over and then I hear this insane turbo noise so I punch it and without even lookn at the tach or n e thing was shifting probably too low, but then I see this thing fly past as Im switchn lanes. What pissed me off was that it was the old ugly lookn one too! It was kinda a sleeper to, didnt have a huge fart can or ground effects or ridicoulus rims or stickers. Either way I still think it wouldve beat me.

ya u gotta watch out for those light ricers (in this case a talon) all they have to do is put a turbo in them and they can kick ur *** cuz they are so light. I hate ricers that are sleepers b/c they are suppose to go after the looks b4 engine modds so they look all fast but have nothing under the hood. At least that guy knows the fact that changing the looks of ur car gets old but smoking people never does.

Yea, dsm's can be pretty quick cars although the stock turbo is very small on those cars so in order to walk a modded V8 they have to put on a new turbo. My friend has a eclipse gsx with a T28 and a lot of other mods on it. That cars pretty quick and awd is a real advantage.

If he smoked you than it probably wasnt even the stock turbocharger. I have a friend who knows what his DSM talon is capable of. Let me tell you it wont take him very much money to get that puppy to run 11s or 12s

Ya I foregot that the DSM's were AWD that is another big advantage over the stang esp. from a stop
