Default H-pipe

I am about to get a H-pipe and I was wondering if it will make much of a difference in sound since i still have the stock catback. I am saving up for slp lm1 catback.

Personally I would go with a catted X pipe with the SLP 1's. They're straight through mufflers, so X usually sounds better.

And yes, aftermarket mid pipe will change the sound of the car. If you go uncatted, it'll change it a lot. If you go catted, it'll still change it but not quite as much, but 2 high flow cats are better than 4 restrictive ones.

What type of mufflers would sound good with an o/r h-pipe?

Chambered mufflers like MAC, Flowmaster, and Spintech sound excellent with an O/R H.

So if i want to get slp lm1 i should go with an x-pipe instead of an h-pipe? Has anyone had a h-pipe with slp's?

well i have the LM1 and the Lm2 and with the lm1 the named them right.
But with the lm2 and my h pipe it is much deeper and with the lm1 is more of a high pich tone.
I must say it turns alot of heads when your out and about. So if you want to be loud go with the LM1's.
I have sound clips of the 2 just wish i could post them but i don't have a clue on how to do that.

H- Pipes usually have a deeper tone. Xs have that raspy one. It all depends on what your going for. Yes there will be an increase in volume with an OR/H Pipe with your stock huffers.

This might help too. http://www.mustangexhaust.com/forums/
