Default H pipe questions

I have been considering getting a new H pipe. I dont want an X, so I dont need opinions, but I was just wondering will I really see a difference in sound going from the stock H to another H (like an MRT catted H), since they are the same shape and all. Also how wide is the stock H pipe?? 2.25 inch? I have a MAC catback.

stock pipe is 2.5 inch , also i dont no if you will see that much of a difference inless its offroad. Just go offroad, its will sound sicker, and you get that awesome toxic smell when sitting at the light. haha

You'll notice a difference, espcially if you go offroad. How much depends on your car. I've never figured these cars out exactly yet, but I know that my car had 6 cats. It was a huge difference going offroad and sounds great, but even a high flow cat would have sounded a lot better.

I will do as I always do and suggest the Prochamber. I have the Prochamber and Mac catback and it sounds great.

Thanks, what I'm really wondering though is what actually changes the sound? My stock pipe has 4 cats. Is it the fact that the new pipe has only 2? Because its the same shape of course.

Keep in mind that the stock cats themselves are 4 and VERY restrictive. Not only with the MRT catted H will you be running LESS cats, but they are high flow cats so it will sound better and give you more HP.

Of course, going O/R is the best for sound and for HP but I'm sure the MRT catted H will sound alot better than stock.

Would getting a new midpipe make my interior resonance even worse?

Yep probably, since you have an MAC catback (chambered mufflers, so it's gonna drone). MRT H will make your exhaust louder and deeper and amplify your catback.

I am running a mac o/r h and mac catback as well. I love the sound of it, probably going to being looking for different mufflers because it's not as loud to me anymore and I would like something possibly different.

I would suggest going catless, but some highflows on there would be better than stock. And the interior will not betoo bad, I don't have that much. You really dont get it that bad unless you run dumps or cutouts.
