I have a 03 GT with stock ford exhaust, I like the sound but others have told me that it is not loud enough. What do you guys who own these cars think of the 99-04 GT stockexhaust sound? THANKS

Stock is too quiet. I love the way mine sounds with my mac catted h and flows.

Restrictive and way too quiet. Car sounded 100x's better once I got an aftermarket catback. I'm even more excited about my Prochamber which should ship out next week.

TOO Quiet...You're driving a mustang, it should sound like one. Go aftermarket, I have o/r h and flows 40 series and it's loud , but if you got the ends a lot of people like Bassani. Don't do stock though, you'll love the new sound.

It is one of the reasons I bought the car. As far as a factory sound goes it doesnt get much better. You have to keep in mind that not everyone wants a car-alarm shattering boom coming out of the car and Ford couldn't just put a drag strip exhaust on a car marketed for 'Sporty performance, but still acts like a car' stuff. If your the type that enjoys driving around in a GT and doing cruising and once in awhile car meets and stuff I don't see a problem with it. In stock form it will roar to life, and even has some throaty drone at 2k plus crusing. Luckily, when its time to step it up to that mean hot-rod sound because you either want to just hear it, or you need to start proving yourself at car meets and the track, its very easy to bolt on a cat-back system to wake the exhaust right up!

My SLP Loudmouth II cat-back set-up is set to be here on Friday.
