Hey guys I have a 96' GT coupe 5-speed. While I'm driving the car its like the throttle is sticking because it wont idle back down. If I push in the clutch and turn the motor up to 3000rpms and let completely off the gas pedal the engine stays revved up and takes a while to idle back down. Also it idles high and low and doesnt stay constant. I think its either the AIC valveor TPS. The CEL is on so I guess I will plug up the scan-tool to the car and figure out whats going on. Anyone had this problem? I thought it was the throttle cable but its not. It has to be something wrong with one of the sensors.[:@]

i had that problem , i think its the iac , but do the iac mod it lets the revs drop quick

hey when you plug that scan tool in let me know what the code is and i could tell you what is wrong, also it might be the same problem im having.

I used the search on here and I read a lot about IAC valve problems. I probably wont be able to use the scan-tool until I get my car out of the body shop which will probably be this Friday. I am about 99% sure that its the IAC or TPS. I will post the trouble codes as soon as I can. Thanks guys!
