if you have a chip or something like that it always helps to have that programmed after you get all the stuff you want done on your car. Nothing really NEEDS to be tuned on your car after most any mod w/ the exception of maybe gears i guess b/c it throws off your odometer, spedometer. Programming the chip after your mods will just help your cars computer notice that you have the mods and give it a littler better response to them.

Nitrous, Rear gears, New chip, supercharger, turbocharger, new MAM, different injectors, stroker kits, and i think that just about covers what you should get a tune for.

Ok guess I will need a tuning for the rear gears, how much does a tune generally cost? Also I see you guys refer to "the chip" what is the function of a chip replacement, and if anyone could point me in the right direction to purchasing a chip I know nothing about(haha) it would be appreciated. Does the chip increase HP and fuel or what are its functions.

Correct, with just about any mod, a computer tune according to what was done will get the most out of the part. Programers are very usefull and helpfull. I have the SCT, all i have to do is send it back to the guys i got it from with a list of changes to my car, they re-flash it, send it back and, when i update my EEC, the car then runs to optimal performance. It works best with stuff like throttle bodies, maf, exhaust, etc. Just about any bolt-on. But, when you get into forced induction and stuff, you really need to take it to a dyno and have it tuned because, every car is different, even though they're the same.

i think diablosport is more directed towards ford and mustangs as opposed to other performance chips. The chip is inserted into a slot on the back of your ECU and it pretty much just tells your computer that your car is getting cooler air into your engine than it actually is and this allows for a higher combustion rate...giving you a few more hp. These chips also can give you firmer/smoother shifting in an auto. Try www.diablosport.com and do some research.
