hand help programmer or chip?
I wish I had one that way you could constantly change your tunes with changes to your car without sending your tuner off or paying for a chip reburn
ORIGINAL: 96Stang232
diablosport is for any year mustang...i have one in my 96. Your talking about the hand held programmer which is not an absolute neccessity, you can get the delta chip which is just inserted into your ECU and leave it at that. It can be programmed just like the hand held.

A lot of people cheer for the SCT brand but their end-user flash tool offers a less than what the DiabloSport brand end-user flash tuner offers, the Predator.
Base tunes: Both end-user tools (Predator and Xcalibrator) start with off the shelf tunes that apply to most stock or slightly modified Mustangs. The Xcalibrator will come with one picked from a library. It is advertised as a "custom tune" because you specify if you want the MIL turned off, or speedo calibrated for 3.73 or 4.10, or how much timing advance you want or whatever. The Predator loads one stored in an internal library that matches your EECs calibration. Those that cheer for the SCT brand call this a "generic tune". However, you customize it yourself. You tweak it for the MIL, speedo cal, timing, etc. You, not the vendor. In this case, I prefer the generic tune.
Email/download tunes: Both tools can do this.
Tweak the tune: Both tools do this. In fact, there are more parameters available for tweaking on the Predator than the Xcalibrator, and you don't need your home PC to do so.
Load a custom tune made specifically for your car: Both can do this.
The Predator has data logging feature and can read and clear OBDII codes from any 96+ Ford. The Xcalibrator cannot.
The Xcalibrator can hold three tunes. The Predator holds only one.
If the end-user tool doesn't meet your needs, you can go with SCTs Pro Racer Package or DiabloSports ChipMaster Revolution.
Learn what both products do and compare them side by side. Don't just go by the marketing ads.
