Default **midpipe install**

ok so i went to install a prochamber on my 96GT today and I gave up after about 45min. I refuse to pay a shop to do it, but I can't seem to get at the passenger side header/midpipe bolts. So I just soaked them all in PB blaster and called it a day.Im gonna wake up in the morning and give it another shot,
If anyone can provide some advice or insight Id really appreciate it. Il have a soundclip of my prochamber/mac CB whenIm done

What do you have for tools? A bunch of extensions, 15mm deep socket and a swivel joint are what you need. Just take your time and try to be patient with it.

Oh, and lots of beer and swearing are also highlyrecommended, but not required. Just don't take it for a drive if you've been pounding cold ones...

i did the same thing with the PB blaster, and it still wouldnt come off. if you cant get it off tomorrow morning, soak it some more, then start the car and let it run so it gets hott. then turn it off, and LET IT COOL DOWN. then try. it should come off with a nice tug.

Take it to a shop and have them break the bolts loose for you. Cost me $10, done.

Use a breaker bar...about a two foot pipe should work and slide it on to the wrench and give it a whirl. Mine was the same way and after using a u joint with a deep socket on a 12" extension and a 3 ft breaker bar, they came off easily. Torque and leverage are your friend.

+1 the cursing. Thats a mandatory tool. Also just get a lead pipe to use for leverage.I did that with mine and it broke free pretty easily.

Yeah, use a big breaker bar and it should come off. I remember the passenger side being a PITA when I did it on my old Mustang. If you don't have a breaker bar, you can use part of the jack handle around the wrench and use that to extend it for more leverage.

I removed my starter (had to do it anyway) and got a little more leverage with the breaker bar. Before I did that, I ended up accidentaly stripping the bolt and had to cut the screw down to the bolt, then used a gator socket.
Oh yea, gloves comes in handy too.
