BBK has a nice fit and finish. Go longtubes FTW. I LOVE my BBK LT's. They give the car a power increase you can feel. If you have the money, you could get a set of Kooks Headers.

I just put the SLP longtubes on my 02, and I love them. They complimented my exhaust note very well, and gave a noticable increase in power. They were also very high quality and fit perfectly.

the best headers out there are made by hooker im not a 100% sure if they make em for these cars, which probably isnt helping but check wit them, they are a bit expensive. bbk makes good stuff for pretty cheap. lt's are better for everything, power and sound. good luck

Hooker does and the long tubes run about 550.00 for the basic set and 750.00 for ceramic coated or stainless steel. Long tubes are definitely better performance wise but may be more difficult to install as far as fitting them. I was going to get my stock manifold replaced with long tubes until I found out labor is about 8 hours or at least thats what I was told. At 80 and hour, that can cost more than the headers themselves. Check summitracing.com.

I installed mine myself and got the headers, new, for $356 shipped. I saved a lot of money by doing it myself

OK, I have to ask. Do you have a lift or access to one? I was told you need to lift the engine up. Not completely out, but enough to access the old manifold. Thats a lot of disconnects. Its either that or drop the K-member. Either way, its a big job I think. How long did it take you?

it took me about 3.5 hours. I have a lift, but it is not a task that couldn't be handled with jack stands and a floor jack with a block of wood on it. It just needs to be pretty high off the ground. the engine needs to come up 3-4 inches, but it's only 2 bolts on the motor mounts to get them loose
