It really helps if you have cams/head work done, other then that it wont offer much of a performance gain to compensate for the heavy price. Metal intakes are also nice if you are going to be running alot of nitrous. I would recomend spending the money on a Texas Hot Rods HardballR instead ( http://www.marketworks.com/storefron...mp;i=222304916 ), being that Professional Products quality is very very hit and miss. Intakes can be a good mod, but like I said, unless you have some really good airflow work done it wont add very much to warrant spending $600+

Either way you go, Hardballer or Typhoon, it's going to be an improvement from the stock one which is prone to crack. Typhoon you can get around 549 as opposed to the 650 for the Hardballer. Which ever fits your budget, but as of now, if you're not s/c or running nitrous, it's just for show. That's just my $.02

Are you asking about the difference between intake manifolds and exhaust headers?

You are talking bout to different things. Unless you get ported heads and cams you dont really need an intake. Stock intake does a pretty good job. You should get the headers instead. You will get more power with them compare with the intake.

You won't need an after market intake manifold with headers if that is what you are asking.
