oil sending unit socket

Default oil sending unit socket

When installing the oil feed line by the oil filter, is it necessary to use an oil sending unit socket? Paxton's instructions call for one to remove the stock unit, but Vortech's instructions don't seem to mention it. Can I just use an adjustable wrench?

no i used a wrench to take mine out... dont think its need maybe older cars which you might strip the sending unit trying to take it off

I used channel lock pliers to remove mine when it failed.

Same here,....socket at work,,I was at home....channel locks worked fine....
