Additives?
anyone think of starting a sticky for info/opinions on additives. Everytime i go to autozone or strauss i see tons of things to buy, and i always wonder if it works, or what is the best... i know for oil most people here seem to like royal purple, but what about things like lucas oil fuel injector cleaner, vs some other kind.... or maguires wax vs turtle wax...
so i think there should be a stickky for like "Gasoline Additives" or "Injector Additive" and people can say which ones they like best and which ones are a load of ____. and there could be ones for cleaners, oil additives for valve seals and such... but for the time being, what do you guys think about the different addititves for fuel injectors...which one should i get, i saw pheonix for like 99 cents a bottle at strauss today, but maybe it does a 99 cent job?....

RE: Additives?
Oil additives are a big no-no because they will not mix with your oil! Fuel injector cleaner won't harm as long as you add it to the proper amount of gas on the label. I would reccomend doing fuel injector cleaner only once a year or maybe longer because it does contain alcohol and other drying agents that will dry out your O-rings eventually. I run 93 octane which burns cleaner and hotter therefore less Carbon build-up!

How about changing your oil every 3000 miles, run fuel from a decent station, and keep up on regular maintenance. Do this and you don't need to waist your money on snake oil additives.
