Default Is it possible

Is it possible to drop a 4.6 from 99 and up into my 96? without getting a new computer. Because getting 215 is gay, that sounds like a v6

cant be that hard. I'd just throw a supercharger on your car if your not that mechanically inclined.

Why not just swap computors as well? It's not that hard to swap a wire harness, the plugs can only go to one thing and the harness is kinda preformed. If you lay it out on the floor you will see sort of how it gets routed.

You don't need to swap computers or harness for that swap. Just reuse your fuel rails and your coil packs/wires on the newer engine and its a direct swap.

I am mechanicly inclined ill just add that now lol. But if I reuse the fuel rails ect I wont get the 260hp I want, the reason i dont want to get the pcm and harness is because of $$, so do i need to switch pcm and harness to get the 260?

just swap the PI intake and get VT stage 2 cams that will make more power than a 99-04 4.6L

Yes you will. Fuel lines aren't going to take any horsepower. The fuel rails on the PI GTs are returnless. The fuel rails on our NPI GTs are returnless. It's just a different setup. Swapping the engine will give you the same amount of power. The only thing different is that you'll be lacking some spark at higher RPMs due to the lack of COP ignition. It's not going to be anything noticeable until you're blown, but then you should upgrade your ignition anyway... Also, the regular DIS to COP swap is pretty easy and a lot have done it. I haven't because it yields hardly any gain for the mods I'm running.

id say around 240 rwhp 315 tq, its by far better than doing a full PI swap because PI heads dont flow any better all they do is raise compression, so in reality they are only worth about 5 hp, our heads on the other hand are better for boostedd applications (240 is a conservative estimate btw)

I don't think you can put stage 2 cams in NPI heads. Too much lift. You could do PI cams though.
