when people say removing your air silencer, what does that mean?

It a rubber snorkel sticking out of the air box and into the fenderwell, removing itmakes the intake noisier (which is of course why its called a "silencer")--and thereby providestheillusion of increased power...

I wish I could find the link where is did show very small gain on the dyno.

I bet you don't have yours installed.

Actually I do, however I did cut it back 3-4 inches so that it still protrudes into the fenderwell (which is good) but has a larger opening...

lol well im an idiot to cars, and yes i did buy mine, it wasnt a present from a rich mommy. but i dont have a damn clue where this is located.

Passenger side front fenderwall. You need to jack the car up, take off the wheel, remove the "elephant ears" in the wheel well, therefore exposing the silencer. Mine was removed before buying the car, so I'm impartial...LOL.
