Default park brake warning lamp

I own a 2003 GT. Lately, under heavy braking, my park brake warning lamp comes on. ABS and traction control are working fine with no lights coming on for either of those.

Any suggestions on what might be causing this?

Thanks in advance.

Your brake pads could be worn. When they are worn,it takes more movement for the pistons to push the pads against the caliper so it takes more brake fluid in the lines. The more fluid in the lines, the less in the resevoir and so when you brake hard ,what fluid is in the resevoir goes to the front away from the level sensor, causing the low level light-brake light to come on. If you just add fluid and there is no leak, when you do replace pads, the resevoir wil be over filled.
