Default Need Help With GEAR decision

I have 3.73 gears sitting in the floor ready to install. But I am thinking about sending the 3.73's back and switching them for 4.10's. What do you guys think? My local track is a 1/8 mileso thats where I will be racing mostly. There is a 1/4 mile track a few hours away so I will probablyrun it in the 1/4 a few times. Would I tach out in 4th in the 1/4 with 4.10 gears and my s/c? My g/f's 94 gt has 4.10's and I am going into fourth at the end of the 1/8. Please help me deside by leaving feedback. Thanks

There is a gear calculator somewhere on this board. Just do a search to find it. Its really handy and
will answer some of your questions.

All you do is type in your tire size and gear ratio and it will tell you your rpm's at a certain speed and in a certain gear.

If I were you I would stick with the 3.73's. It will make it a faster all-around car; at the track, and on the street.

You could not be more wrong Here's the deal....he has a 4 valve that = poor low end torque + a centri blower that = poor low end torque. He needs a lot of gear to get the car moving in the powerband. If it were mine I'd do 4.30's but a 4.10 is a good all around gear[8D]
