If you dropped 17k on the motor and it starts knocking after 7k miles I would hope ithas some sort of warranty on the thing. Most good builders will warranty their work.

yea, no damn warranty. the worst part is the guy that built this is supposed to be one of the best, its just getting past his shop helpto talk to him thats the hard part, i like him, his help is another story.

What rpm were you at when you hit 160? What oil pump do you have?
