Default sound change after tune?

Hey all -question. Last week I put on a magnaflow cat back system, intake. Car sounds great and I can definitely tell the difference in performance. I tuned it today with the SCT tuner, and can feel a performance increase there. But the car I *think* got much quieter! Does that make any sense??? Or are my ears just going?

Hmmmmm. I thought about that too, getting used to it. Maybe thats all it is. I even went so far as to untune the car back to stock to see if there was a difference... Didnt notice anything. Just weird timing I guess, lol. I was cruising around town and went in a long tunnel and punched it, shook the dirt of the walls, so I guess all is well.

My car *seemingly* sounded different to me after I got my tune done. I even asked the wife and she said it sounded a bit different. I don't think it was me getting used to the exhaust, since my wife noticed it before I had even said anything. I'm thinking that since the engine is running smoother since the tune it alters the tone slightly.

mine did the same thing, when i had my top down and just had my exhaust put on my car (first mod done to it), it gave me a headache it was so loud. when i went home to take some excedrin, and left 20 minutes later, it didnt seem nearly as loud. ive come to the conclusion our exhaust cause near instantaneous hearing loss. well at least mine does.

My exhaust note changed too after my tune. I thought it was just me until my little bro and gf said something. I recently had problems with my MAF so I installed the stock tune after about a year of having it in the car, the sound wasthe first thing I noticed. The car deffinately changes sound with a tune, maybe it's something to do with the timing or something.
