You want to keep compression down if you plan on having forced induction (turbo or blower). Nitrous likes high compression (see LSx motors). Teskid blocks can hold all the power you are gonna throw at them but machining them is about $1200 which is the cost of 3 brand new Iron blocks.

Can you put in forged internals without machining the block?

yes but when you machine the block it is just insurance that the cylinders are true and you wont have problems after putting the investment in.

if u dont go with a stroker kit there wont be a lot ofmachine work and u can get by with a decent price

from what i heard about strokers on 4.6 engines is that the stroke is already close to the stroke of a 351 or a 347, and youd get better gains from a big bore kit
