Default engine warm up

this is how my car has always been but its just now that i figured that maybe something may be wrong... when my car is off for the night and i turn it on the next morning... i need to drive about 4 miles before my engine temp gauge is to the middle where as mostly every other type of car ive been in , the engine temp level goes to the middle within a minute.... this is ofcourse only after my car has been off for a long period of time such as a full night.... if i drive around, then turn my car off for 4 hours and the engine gauge is all the way to the bottom, it will move to the middle in a minute... i hope its fine... let me know what u guys think

Your engine is a victim of heat soak, along with every engine produced. Nothing is wrong with it taking so long to warm up, especially at cooler times, since it is winter and all... Don't drive her hard until she's warm unless you want a new motor.

She warms up quicker after previously being ran because of heat soak, it takes a long time for a block to cool completely.
