Default Fuel Filter.

Anyone know where i can findsome instruction on how to change the fuel filter in my 2000 gt?

Very Easy. You will see it parallel to your bumper under your car, just climb under the back and you will see it. You'll need the Ford Fuel line tool (small plastic piece that fits over the line, 10 bucks at kragen). You slip it over the line and pop off the line on one side, then repeat for the next. Install in reverse order.

Also don't try to relieve fuel line pressure, getting covered in fuel is a necessary step in the process.

yea, my car has like 64k on it and i have been getting like 15mpg highway so i thught changing the filter might help me out. So there is no way for me to releive the pressure in the line?

what I did to relieve the pressure was just press the fuel pump switch thing in the trunk, then I ran it for a few seconds till the fuel in the lines ran out. But you will still get some fuel coming out when you take the filter off, so wear eye protection and keep your mouth closed. And with the disconnect tool, you have to pull pretty hard on the line and push the tool on at the same time.
