Default emergency brake

i felt my e-brake "pop" the other day when i pulled it up, so i looked down into it and the bolt holding the unitdown broke off, with the piece of metal that secures it. today when i went to work my car was about 10 ft. futher down my street than where i left it lol...so i guess i need a new e-brake internal setup? anyone every replace this or know where i can get one...maybe used from a parts car?

Your car rolled?

I rarely ever use my E-brake & I've left my Cobra on plenty of hills? I would just get the parts from a Ford dealer if your car likes to go for little joy rides on it's own. I wouldn't chance a used part in this situation.

the 2nd week i had my car i wass on a big hill and the car was roling alittle, so i pulled up the ebrake hard, and snapped the cable, the cable was cheap but the labor is expensive, now im afraid to pull the ebrake hard lol, but i agree, dont get a used part for a brake
