Default Big Problem

Well i was riding around driving like usual and all of a sudden this crap started happening. I was cruising in 3rd and ready to shift, when i accelerated to then shift into 4th it seemed like the the car was like jumping forward a little bit. Seems like when im cruising in 2nd and about to shift or 3rd and about to shift, right when i touch the gas a little bit, it jumps. Almost as if there is a bunch of air like shooting from the engine through the exhaust. Not sure what the hell it could be, i check to see if something on the exhaust was loose, nothing, then checked the oil, it was fine. Dont know if something is wrong with the engine. It is like everytime im in a gear and trying to accelerate before shifting it does this please help.

Thanks for all your help.

I doubt it's a new problem...It sounds like something that happens to my car at all times, every gear.

My car will jump forward violently when I tap the pedal in 2nd and 3rd while cruising. It's just your drivetrain suddenly bursting power and slowing down. I think thats what you're experiencing.

So let me get it straight.......is it a revolving jump? Or just once? Because when you accelerate before shifting, and don't let off the gas quickly enough when you push the clutch in, it will feel like it's jumping. Try letting off earlier before pushing the clutch in to shift, and see if it's just a driving issue.

I seriously doubt it's your exhaust or engine. Sounds likea typical Mustang drivetrain. High HP cars with a touchy pedal does that.

yah. its something like that, more so when i am just cruising in 3rd or 4rth and go to shift, when i bring my rpms up, along with the exhaust sounds its like a pitter patter or sorts, like extra air **** or something that comes out. i didnt know if the exhaust just is now broken in? or if its because i dont have cats now. i know what you mean when i touch it and it leaps forwards, its not that its just when im cruising, about to shift and i bring up the rpms a little past 2 or 2500 and get that weird sound.
