Default First Street Race Tonight

my first street race and first ever for that matter... so this 98 GT and i are goin down this street and i cruise pass him and he catches up and we nod heads and he goes to pass me so i floor it and blow his doors off... then we get lined up at a stop light... and we wait for the light and finally the light turns green (i was hella nervous and i had so much adrenaline goin through me), meanwhile my gf is b!tchin don't f*ckin do this justin i'm like thinkin god shut up damnit... anyways he gets a good jump he burned a little but i was just burnin out for a good 15-20 feet and he got me good on the start. he was ahead 1.5 car lenghts or so and then once i got traction it was over. to tell you, i'm a bit pissed at myself i think i shoulda just owned him off the start and ended it. i think he got such a good start because his car didn't have much power and it was easier for him to get traction and a good jump and i was hella dumb and just span em for ever it seemed like. oh well next time i'll do what my tires can handle, i'm on stock still til i get my 18's with 315 nitto dr's out back. damnit!
