Default ECU Q

I have a 1999 GT with a Windsor block. I blew it up, and just bought a brand-new 2002 Romeo block. Will my old ECU from the Windsor motor work? Or will I need to get a new one?? Thanks!!

Both years and manufacturing plants run the same electronics and programming. EEC V and OBD II

I don't see why there would be any need to change the ECU
