Default One more time....

I know I asked this before... But I was unable to fix the problem. Overdrive button and lights on shifter console are non-functional(Auto here). I took off the shifter bezel, but could not find the wires. The shifter itself takes up so much room in the console I cannot see if the wires(if the are even there) are cut. I checked all my fuses and they are fine. What to do....any help is appreciated! Thanx!

How about a 5 spd? I'm not real good with wiring but it sounds like you're having a lot of trouble. Maybe you should just take it to a local shop and have them take a look at it.

not throwing any codes.... Heres what happend i got a new top and carpet installed (hurricane damage) they had to take the console out to put the carpet in.. When I got the car back, I realized this stuff wasn't working(after i got home and it was dark). Problem is the next day I was flying out of state for a week. Came back, took finals and left again, no time to take it to this shop which is about and hour and 15 mins away.

OK, just got out fo the car... Ripped as much of the console out as I could, and I found the wires! they are not split, but it has a little plastic harness on the end. But it is DISCONNECTED! Cannot find its mate... anybody know where it goes? It looks as though (judging by the bend of the wires) that its plug should be located somewhere on the right of the shifter. I cannot see under it, because I cannot completely remove the console! Please help, my car is in pieces!

nah, looked under the carpet, nothing there, besides the wire isnt that long. I wish I had a digital camera so I could show you guys what I am talking about. Imagine this if you can. Console is off, the shifter bezel or whatever you wanna call it, (the thing with the lights on it) P R N D 2 1 is just sitting there. The wire is coming from underneath the shifter. Near the rear of the shifter. It seems to wrap around towards the passenger side of the shifter...its about 8-10 inches long. That plug can't be far away. But I can't see $h!t. thanx tho...
