Default BROKEN REAR SWAYBAR!?!?!

I duuno how this happend, but it did. Could it be the dip in my driveway??? When I pulled out, I heard a pop. Thought I just ran over something in the road. Kept hearing the rattling noise so I looked and didn't see anything, Crawled under and sure enough, the rear sway bar has snapped on the drivers side right where it bolts on. Cracked right around the bolt. The bolt is still on the car. Where an I get one of these? Do I need a "better than stock" replacement here? Do i need to leave it parked until I replace it? cause I have a 20 mile commute to school monday....??? Please help me out here guys! Thanx!

its most likely the sway bar mount/link, not the actual sway bay. You can get them at the auto part store, as long as its in stock. the kit comes with 8 bushings and bolts, ect. you will be ok with out it for now. might notice it around the turns. The car might sway a little bit more. no big deal though.

the rears don't have links, they bolt directly to the lower control arms

btw - many companies, like Steeda for example, make thicker swaybars designed for road racing... yours breaking though sounds like just a bad swaybar.

Thanx guys, so just yank it off until I replace it huh? Sounds good. Do you think a factory replacement will do the same thing? Or Should I go ahead and get a new/better one i.e. Steeda or Ford Racing???

ORIGINAL: Emann0007

right where it bolts on. Cracked right around the bolt.
How tight was it bolted on? Sounds like someone might have removed at at some point in time, and not bolted it on properly
