1996 Fog Lights

1996 Fog Lights
I just got my GT today and noticed it doesnt have foglights like I had thought. Was it optional in 96'? I looked up under the front bumper and noticed a wire plug hanging down behind where the foglights are supposed to be. Is it prewired from the factory? How hard is it to put them in?

No they were not optional. Someone probably just forgot to put them back in or something. But just go to your local junkyard and find a v6 from 96-98 and take them off. They are really easy to take off, they are only held one by one bolt, I forgot what size it was, I think maybe 1/2 inch but dont quote me on that.

Yes it was an option for the fog lights. But they come pre wired for some reason. You will have to find the switch at a salvage yard or you can get a new one Fog light switch
The switch goes where the so called coin holders are in the center counsel. Just pull one of them out find the wiring harness underneath plug the switch in and put some bulbs in the fog lamps and your good to go
