telling the difference 2v/4v
I'm taking a look at a few more cars today - some again, and I wanted to check for the 2v/4v (96 and 97)..can anyone tell me quickly how to tell the difference between the 2?
or is the gt 2v and cobra 4v? im a little unclear

4v's only came in Cobra's (Mustang wise that is). Also, it says real big on the valve cover's 4v - also the heads are very wide compared to 2v's

ah ok, thanks a bunch :P
so does the 4v give a big difference to the cobra over the gt (i know it is more powerful) but what exactly does the extra electrical power give?

in 96 - 97 it was pretty huge. its not electrical power, 4v's have 4 cameshafts - the 2v's have 2 camshafts

Actually you wanna go with a 99+ GT because the 4.6 GT's that were made in '96-'98 were not performance improved. Meaning they are slowwwwww. lol

4v = 4 valves per cylinder ... 2v = 2 valves per cylinder

Miglet,
If you like the 96-98 body style, then get yourself a '98 Cobra. These are very receptive to power adders as well (I owned a '96 Cobra b4 my '03 cobra).
