LT's = NO PASSING EMISSIONS

At least in Va.. ST'S = TEH WIN!

theirs no emissions here where I live, its great. you may "pass" if all they do is hook a scanner to your diagnostic port - as do many emissions testing facilities on newer vehicles. If their is a sniffer - you may still pass if you have cats. If there is a visual, you will fail.

being able to pass emissions and emissions legal are different things.

Actually guys i (as well as 5.0 magazine) dont have a problem with the shorties. In the MAY 2004 edition on page 83, they put a stang on the dyno and results follow

Shortie unequal 1&5/8in longtube
318hp@4900 316hp@4100
310ft/lbs@5400 304ft/lbs@4400

More HP for less money? why not?

yea, i saw it. i was just wondering if i like left some stock cats on there or put some high flows on i would still not pass? why wont it pass even if you have cats?

b/c LT's are not emissions legal..If they see you have LT's, they will fail you.

I feel really sorry for you guys. I live in West Tennessee, and i have never been through or heard of an emissions test. 4x4s with straight pipes roam free without a care. The cops will pull you over for speeding, and not say one word about it.
