its too much gear. I'm running 3:73's and are perfect for my setup at the track. I had 4:10's before and first gear was useless. I'f i were you i'd think about putting the 3:55's back inor getting 3:73's I think you will be much more happy with them. But thats my opinion. Ther's people that swear by the 4:10's And then you have the people that swear by the 3:73's. It's and endless battle.

That sucks man, why did you mpg go down? do you do alot of highway driving? you can just use a higher gear for around town.

I think i'm going with 3.73's when i get gears. Sorry you don't like them!

My 3.73's were great in my 99. I wouldnt go with more gear than 3.73 unless you plan to forge the motor and run higher rpm's. 3.73 is as low as i could get away with and still have reasonable use of my first gear.

I like my 4.10's. Maybe you just need to take your foot off the go pedal a bit. It will reduce highway mileage, but if you drive right you don't have to lose city mileage.

you didn't pick up a lot? going from 3.27 to 3.73 i noticed quite a big difference. i find it hard to believe you didn't notice much of a difference. your MPG shouldn't have dropped nearly that much either unless you do highway miles going like 85-90mph.

I don't really like my 4.10's. With a blower they suck!

I have 4.10s and would never go any lower. I rode in my buddys 96 cobra and he has 4.30s. I think I will be upgrading here soon. My gas mileage is the same as my wifes and her car is a near stock auto.
