Default 3in Exhaust

Have any of you guys ever done a custom 3in exhuast setup on your GTs? Post some pics if you guys have any, thanks.

thats too big for a mainly stock car. you will lose low end torque...and you want all you can get with a 4.6.

3" would give the car a really deep tone, but power would suffer. We run 3" pipes on most of our cars at work, but they are all 500+ RWHP, and most of them could use smaller pipe. 3" would sound sick, but you would probably run into clearance issues over the axle

If you go wit a HUGE supercharger and a NASTY 5.4, then yeah, but otherwise I would stay with a 2-1/2" manderel-bent system, because a custom 3" will most likely have kinks in it which would reduce the effective diameter to smaller than a 2-1/2" pipe

You really need around 600 rwhp before you step up to a 3" set up. With that big of pipes the exhaust cools to fast and slows the flow of it. When the flow slows all the gasses behind it start getting backed up which will cause backpressure and backpressure is bad.
